Libraries & Learning Facilities
Seoul National University provides a wide range of campus facilities and services to support both students’ academic pursuits and daily life. The University offers various study spaces, including the Central Library and the Gwanjeong Library, along with practical amenities such as printing and fax services that are freely accessible on campus.
In addition, counseling services and a human rights center are available to support students’ well-being and personal development. Beyond academics, students can engage in a variety of extracurricular programs, student government, and club activities, allowing them to enjoy a well-rounded and enriching campus experience.
Libraries
SNU Library is one of the largest university library in Korea, housing over 5.3 million books, 470,000 academic journals and electronic journals, and 260,000 non-book materials. It comprises the Main Building, which focuses on scholarly collections, the Gwanjeong Building, a user-centered learning and collaboration space, and nine branch libraries. Together, these libraries form an integrated system that supports teaching, learning, and research for students and faculty.
The library offers a wide range of user-oriented learning and research spaces, including reading rooms, group study rooms, IT facilities, multimedia spaces, and a theater for small group meetings. Across these facilities, more than 6,000 seats are available. With a comfortable study environment and advanced information infrastructure, the library supports research, collaboration, and the exchange of knowledge.

Self-Service Printing & Copying Guide
Unmanned copy machines and printers are located in the information search rooms and copy centers of each institution/department. Payments can be made via credit card, debit card, or Samsung Pay. In addition, staffed on-campus copy centers accept both cash and credit cards.
FAX
To send a fax, please visit the Post Office inside campus. In case of emergencies, you can politely ask the officers at the Department Office or other Administration Offices (Office of Admissions or the Registrar) to send a fax. Most departments are equipped with fax machines.

CTL (Center for Teaching & Learning) in the Faculty of Liberal Education
SNU students should purchase a CP Gate Card to make a copy or print on campus. You can purchase a card (5,000 KRW, cash only) at the locations below.
To use the printing card, put it in a card reader machine near the PC available for print. Usually, printers are located in the computer labs. Libraries and student lounges listed above have computer labs. Copying and printing costs 50 (black and white) and 300 (colored) KRW per A4 size page.
Learning Support Program
Learn How to Learn Series for Undergraduates
Am I doing well in university? Am I living the university life that I looked forward to so much? If there are some aspects that are seemingly a bit lacking, consider the Faculty of Liberal Education’s learning support education program. Various education programs are available including learning strategies (time management, English lecture strategies, quantitative research methodologies), communication methods (presentation, discussion), and IT capacity strengthening workshops (PowerPoint, Excel, Photoshop, SPSS, R, Python).

Academic Counseling
When learning efficiency or concentration is falling, when you feel anxious or have academic-related difficulties and unable to find your motivation, please use the Academic Counseling Program. Academic counseling experts can help you think about your academic difficulties and find solutions in a variety of ways, including one-on-one academic counseling and group study coaching. The content of the consultation is kept strictly confidential.

Writing Program
One-to-One Writing Guidance
When you are so stuck that you can’t even begin writing that assigned report, when you have difficulty in the writing process and when you want to find out the problems with your own writing even after writing, you can receive one-to-one writing consultation. You can receive consultation by reserving for a specific teacher and time, by email and same day visiting consultations when you are still at the idea stage. Consultations are available throughout the semesters and vacations. There is also a clinic program where you can get multiple step by step consultation by a tutor, so visit the writing class at any time if you want to improve your writing skills.

Writing Related Workshops
There are various writing workshops and special lectures for undergraduate and international students. Hands-on writing workshops for various types of writing are available including papers of each field, book reviews and statement of purpose as well as special lectures on citations in relation to writing ethics. You can check the schedule in the Faculty of Liberal Education’s homepage and apply for a lecture or workshop. Special author lectures are also held once a year where prominent authors both within and outside the school are invited to speak on the attitude and methods toward writing and reading. Workshops and special lectures are open to everyone in the school so make sure you do not miss out.

Excellent Paper Contest
If you have a paper that you wrote for a class that you are proud of, participate in the Excellent Paper Contest organized by the Writing center. This contest is held every semester, and all papers written for major courses and general education courses are welcome. 1 grand prize, 3 excellence prizes and 5 encouragement prizes are given with a total of 5,900,000 KRW as rewards. Applications for the contest are accepted in June and December, at the end of each semester.
