Graduation Simulation
Students can review graduation requirements (such as mandatory major and general education courses), check unfulfilled criteria, and map out their graduation plans on the mySNU portal.
How to Use
※ Students are strongly advised to run the simulation one or two semesters prior to their expected graduation or completion date to ensure all requirements are met and to establish an appropriate study plan.
Undergraduate Requirements
Enrollment is permitted for a minimum of 6 semesters and up to a maximum of 16 semesters. To graduate, students must maintain an ‘Enrolled’ status during their final semester and submit a graduation application within the first 1/4 of that semester.
Undergraduate Standards
- General Education: 36 credits or more
- Major Courses: 39 credits or more
- Departmental Requirements: Fulfill the specific graduation criteria of the respective department/college.
- General Education Fields: Complete all category-specific requirements and mandatory general education courses.
- Minor Track Students: Fulfill 39 credits for the primary major and an additional 24 credits or more for the minor.
- GPA Standards: A minimum cumulative GPA ① of 2.0 AND a minimum GPA ② of 2.0 for each major track (Primary, Double, Minor, or Interdisciplinary Major) must be satisfied simultaneously.
- Graduation Thesis: Pass the graduation thesis evaluation (including comprehensive exams, practical presentations, or lab/practicum reports).
- Class of 2007 and Onward: Complete at least 3 courses taught in a foreign language (either general education or major courses).
Graduate Requirements
To obtain a graduate degree, students must complete the required coursework credits within their enrollment period, pass the Thesis Submission Qualification Examination, and successfully clear the thesis evaluation process.
Enrollment Term
- Undergraduate Program: 3 years (6 semesters) to 8 years (16 semesters) of registration
- Master’s Program: 2 years (4 semesters) to 4 years (8 semesters) of registration
- Doctoral Program: 3 years (6 semesters) to 6 years (12 semesters) of registration
- Combined Bachelor’s & Master’s Program: 6 years (12 semesters) to 12 years (24 semesters) of registration
- Integrated Bachelor’s & Master’s Program: 6 years (12 semesters) to 12 years (24 semesters) of registration
- Combined Bachelor’s, Master’s & Doctoral Program: 8 years (16 semesters) to 16 years (32 semesters) of registration
- Integrated Master’s & Doctoral Program: 4 years (8 semesters) to 8 years (16 semesters) of registration
※ Separate regulations apply to the College of Medicine, College of Pharmacy, School of Law, and School of Dentistry; please contact your respective institution directly.
Credits & Thesis Exam
Required Credits for a Single Major
- Master’s Program: Minimum of 24 credits
- Doctoral Program: Minimum of 36 credits
- Integrated Master’s & Doctoral Program: Minimum of 60 credits
※ Coursework credit requirements may vary by major; you must verify the internal regulations of your department/program.
※※ Convergence Majors: In addition to the above, credit requirements to fulfill the Convergence Major track must be completed separately.
GPA Requirement
- Major and Cumulative GPA: 3.0 or higher
Thesis Submission Qualification Exam
- Undergraduate Program: Not Applicable
