mySNU (SNU Official Portal)
mySNU (my.snu.ac.kr) is the official web portal of Seoul National University. It offers a broad range of academic and administrative services, such as scholarship applications, grade inquiries, and requests for leaves of absence or return to school. Additionally, users can access information services including webmail, eTL, and official announcement boards, as well as community boards such as private tutoring listings.
SNU Mobile App
The SNU Mobile App is designed to provide more convenient access to frequently used mySNU portal services. All international exchange and visiting students are highly encouraged to download the app to stay updated with the latest institutional announcements at any time.
How to Download the App:
- Search for and download the “Seoul National University” mobile application from the Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS).
- Log in using your mySNU ID and password.
SNU_ID (Integrated Account)
An SNU_ID can be created by clicking the [Sign Up] button on the right side of the mySNU portal homepage. Incoming freshmen and new students can register their SNU_ID once their official student identification number (Student ID Number) has been issued.
The SNU_ID is a single sign-on (SSO) credential used not only for logging into mySNU but also across various university frameworks, including the webmail system, on-campus information systems, university libraries, and individual college websites. It serves as the primary integrated ID for most academic systems and acts as an official digital method to verify one’s status as a member of the SNU community on affiliated platforms.

Updating Your Personal Information on mySNU Portal
The university references the contact information registered on mySNU when sending out vital notifications, newsletters, or official academic announcements via post or email. Therefore, students are highly encouraged to keep their personal information up to date.
Please ensure that your contact number, residential address, emergency contacts, and Korean bank account details are promptly updated. Uploading a profile photograph is also highly recommended for your student ID card (S-CARD) issuance.
How to Modify Your Personal Information
After logging into the mySNU portal, you can update your credentials through either of the following methods:
- Method 1: Select the ‘Modify Personal Info’ menu located at the bottom right of the main dashboard screen.
- Method 2: Navigate through the official administrative menu path:

Academic Information
Through the Academic Information menu, students can access a wide array of academic affairs and administrative services. This includes applying for scholarships, checking course enrollments, viewing grades, submitting requests for leaves of absence or return to school, and issuing official certificates.
Crucially, by registering your mobile phone number and enabling the SMS notification setting under the path [My Info → Student Info → Modify Personal Info], you can immediately receive vital academic and administrative announcements provided by the university.
Through this real-time SMS alert service, you will be promptly notified of critical updates regarding your current courses—such as exam schedules, room changes, and lecture cancellations. Therefore, it is highly recommended and convenient to keep your phone number registered and ensure that SMS alerts are turned on.
Course Timetable
How to Check Your Course Timetable:
After logging into mySNU, you can view your course list in the upper right corner of the main dashboard. For a more detailed timetable—which includes your class schedule and classroom locations—navigate through the following path:
- Academic Affairs
- Class/Grade
- Class
- My Timetable
For each course, detailed information regarding the class schedule, Instruction Mode, and classroom locations will be provided.
To register for courses, you must access a separate external system (http://sugang.snu.ac.kr) and log in using your mySNU portal account credentials.
SNU Support
IT Service Management (ITSM)
Through the IT Service Management (ITSM) menu, users can access major campus services including IT services, student ID cards (S-CARD), university library services, academic writing classes, immediate hazard reporting, and facilities utilization requests.
The IT Service category includes network-related features such as laptop and software rentals, Wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) user guides, and IP/Domain applications. Furthermore, by referring to the ‘Wireless LAN Access Method’ guide, you can conveniently utilize not only the campus SNU Wi-Fi but also commercial Wi-Fi networks provided by major Korean telecommunication carriers (LG U+, SKT, and KT).
eTL
The SNU eTL system supports the various academic activities regarding regular courses that students take. At eTL, you can see the list of courses that you registered for or the courses that you have already taken.
Also, you can see the announcements, course materials, Q&A and discussion on each course. Effective course participation is facilitated as the information on the registered students taking the course, the professor or instructor, and teaching assistants (TA) is provided. Especially, most information like tests, reports and lecture cancellations are announced on eTL so it can be very useful, and you can receive real-time SMS or push notification of the announcements related to your courses.
How to access eTL
- Sign in to your account at mySNU
- Click the “eTL” button that is at the top of the page, next to ‘Webmail’ and ‘Information Plaza’. Or enter the URL etl.snu.ac.kr
- Under “Current Courses” there will be a list of the classes you are taking. If you click the link for a class, you can upload or download the files related to your course, such as course assignments, presentation slides, etc.
