We would like to inform our students of the recent changes to the Hyundai Motor CMK Foundation’s scholarship program beginning in the 2026 academic year.
Starting in 2026, the Foundation will focus its scholarship selection on the field of Korean Language/Korean Studies and will select a small number of scholars only for the Fall semester in alignment with its mid- to long-term development strategy to cultivate future global talent in a more structured manner.
In previous years, scholars were selected from a wide range of academic disciplines. However, the Foundation has announced that it will shift toward a more targeted approach to better support scholars in continuing their careers after graduation.
Accordingly, the scholarship program will be reorganized to emphasize selectivity and to strengthen post-graduation follow-up support.
Based on the Foundation’s revised policy, please be advised that there will be no new scholarship recipients selected for the Spring 2026 semester.

현대차정몽구재단의 장학사업 운영 방향이 2026학년도부터 변경됨에 따라, 본교 학생 여러분께 아래와 같이 안내드립니다.
재단은 2026학년도부터 중장기 발전 방향에 맞추어 장학 선발 전공을 한국어(한국학) 분야로 집중하고, 가을학기 입학생만 소수 선발하여 미래 인재를 체계적으로 육성하고자 합니다.
기존에는 다양한 전공 분야에서 장학생을 선발해 왔으나, 선택과 집중을 통해 장학생들이 졸업 이후에도 지속적으로 커리어를 이어갈 수 있도록 지원할 계획이라고 재단에서 밝혀왔습니다.
이에 따라, 소수 정예 선발과 장학생 사후관리 프로그램을 강화하는 방향으로 장학제도가 재편될 예정입니다.
이와 같은 재단 방침에 따라, 2026학년도 봄학기에는 신규 장학생을 선발하지 않음을 알려드립니다.
