We are pleased to announce the call for the Global Hope Scholarship for Spring 2026.
Please see details of the scholarship below and apply within the designated period. (Refer to the attachments for more details)
Eligible Applicants (must meet all the below requirements, KGSP students NOT applicable)
- Important Notice on Nationality:
In accordance with the Foundation’s annual quota guidelines, applicants with Mongolian nationality are NOT eligible for this round, and applicants of nationalities other than Vietnam will be given preference. - Academic status (anyone under this category):
- Undergraduate students newly admitted to Seoul National University for Spring 2026
- Currently enrolled undergraduate students at SNU
- Graduate students newly admitted to SNU for Spring 2026 (Master’s, Doctoral, or Combined)
- Currently enrolled graduate students (Master’s, Doctoral, or Combined Master’s & Doctorate)
- Nationality: Must hold citizenship from a country listed on the DAC List of ODA Recipients (see attached list) ※Applicants of Korean ethnicity are not eligible.
- Financial Status (Undergraduate only): Must not be receiving any other scholarship that includes a tuition waiver
- Language Requirement: Must hold a valid TOPIK score of level 2 or above
***Deadline:
- Submission to OIA by an electronic official document from the applicant’s college by By December 26th, 2025 (Friday)
1) Submit required documents to your designated college’s administration office (see list below for details)
2) Please contact the administration office of your designated college regarding submission deadlines to your college’s administration office.
* Important: Early submissions are strongly recommended so that the college’s administration office can prepare to submit your documents by an official document to the OIA.
Candidate(s) to be selected: SNU will recommend up to 4 candidates (twice the Foundation’s expected number of final recipients)
These recommended candidates will be forwarded to the Samsung Dream Scholarship Foundation after the internal document screening by the Office of International Affairs (OIA). (Depending on the circumstances, the foundation may choose to NOT select any candidate.)
Final Selection & Interview
- Document screening will be conducted by the SNU Office of International Affairs.
- Recommended candidates will be interviewed by the Samsung Dream Scholarship Foundation.
- Interview Period: February 2026 (in-person)
- Final Result Announcement: February 2026 (via email from the Foundation)
- (Only successful candidates will be notified.)

※ 국적 관련 안내: 재단의 연도별 국가별 인원 배정 지침에 따라, 금회 모집에서는 몽골 국적 지원이 제한되며 베트남 외 국적자를 우대하여 선발합니다.

❍ 본교 2026년 1학기 학사, 석사, 박사과정, 또는 석·박사 통합과정 신입생 혹은 재학 중인 학부생 혹은 대학원생(석사과정, 박사과정, 석·박사과정생)
❍ 한국어능력시험(TOPIK) 2급 이상인 자 (필수)
□ 지원자격 제외 대상 (필독)
❍ 한국에서 초·중·고등학교 과정을 1학기 이상 이수한 자
❍ GKS 장학금을 수혜 중인 자
❍ DAC 수원국 국적자이나 한인교포에 해당하는 자

❍ 최대 2명
□ 선정 방법
❍ 국제협력본부에서 서류심사를 통해 삼성꿈장학재단에 지원자 추천
❍ 삼성꿈장학재단에서 추천 인원 중 최종 선발
※ ‘26년 2월 중 삼성꿈장학재단과의 대면 면접 후 최종 선정
❍ 신청 기간: 2025. 12. 26.(금)까지 (신청학생의 소속 대학(원) 행정실에서 신청 서류 취합 후 스캔하여 전재결재 문서로 제출 (원본 서류 별도 제출 불요)
※ 소속 대학에서 국제협력본부로 기한 내 문서를 제출할 수 있도록, 가능한 한 조기 제출을 권장합니다.
※ 지원 대상자 선정 : 2026. 2월(예정- 재단에서 별도 안내)
□ 학부생의 경우 등록금 선감면성 타 장학금 수혜 불가
❍ 해당 장학금을 수혜하는 동안 학부생은 등록금 면제성 타 장학금 중복수혜 불가
